When to use it

The prompt
Copy this, then replace everything in [brackets].
Explain HVAC sizing in plain English.
Current system: [size, age]
Load calc result (Manual J or our method): [tons/BTU]
Why it differs: [insulation, windows, duct issues, previous oversizing]
Recommendation: [size + any duct changes]
Under 150 words, simple analogy, no jargon without explanation.
Before / after
Before: ‘Bigger is better’ and a short-cycling, humid house.
After (example output):
Your current system is 4 tons, but our load calculation says the house needs about 3 tons. That’s because of the newer windows and attic insulation. A system that’s too big cools quickly, shuts off, and never removes the humidity, so the house feels clammy. The right size runs longer, quieter, and drier.
Tips
- Always run an actual load calc. The AI explains it; it doesn’t calculate it.
- Use your price book and real equipment data. The AI doesn’t know your prices or what’s in stock.
- Present, don’t push. The homeowner decides.
- Review every draft before you send it. You’re accountable for what goes out.
