The prompt
Copy this, then replace everything in [brackets].
Write a good/better/best replacement proposal summary.
Home and issues: [summary]
Good: [equipment, efficiency (SEER2/AFUE), warranty, price]
Better: [same]
Best: [same]
Included in all: [permit, removal, new pad, thermostat, labor warranty]
For each: one-line who it's for, what you get, monthly payment if financed [I'll fill from lender]. Honest differences, no exaggerated savings.
Before / after
Before: A spreadsheet of model numbers the homeowner can’t compare.
After (example output):
Good: reliable single-stage system that fixes the problem, 10-yr parts. Better: two-stage; quieter, more even temps upstairs. Best: variable-speed; best comfort and humidity control, 12-yr labor warranty. All include permit, haul-away, new pad and thermostat.
Tips
- Lead with the homeowner’s problem, not the model numbers.
- Use your price book and real equipment data. The AI doesn’t know your prices or what’s in stock.
- Present, don’t push. The homeowner decides.
- Review every draft before you send it. You’re accountable for what goes out.
