Part of kit: Slow season marketing push (step 4 of 5)
When to use it
When launching or reminding customers about a referral reward.
The prompt
Copy this, then replace everything in [brackets].
Write a referral program announcement.
Reward: [e.g. $50 gift card when a referral books a replacement]
Rules: [who qualifies, when paid]
Channels: [email, text, invoice footer, tech leave-behind]
Short email, short text, and a one-line invoice footer. Check that the reward complies with local rules.
Before / after
Before: Happy customers who never think to refer you.
After (example output):
Email: Know a neighbor with a tired furnace? Send them our way. When they book a system replacement, we’ll send you a $50 Visa gift card as a thank-you. Text: Refer a friend, get $50 when they book a replacement. Invoice footer: Refer a neighbor, get $50.
Tips
- Track referrals in your FSM so rewards actually get sent.
- Mention your town and service area. Local beats generic every time.
- Real photos of your techs and trucks beat stock photos.
- Review every draft before you send it. You’re accountable for what goes out.
