Checklist format with owner and due date.
Before / after
Before: New tech shows up and there’s no truck, no login, no shirt.
After (example output):
Before day 1: order uniforms (Office, 1 week before); set up FSM login and tablet (Office, 3 days); truck stocked (Warehouse, 2 days). Day 1: safety orientation (Service Mgr). Week 1: 3 ride-alongs with a senior tech.
Tips
- Assign one person to own the whole checklist.
- Use first names or job numbers instead of full customer details.
- Copy the final text back into your FSM or accounting system so the record stays in one place.
- Review every draft before you send it. You’re accountable for what goes out.
